What are we looking for?
- Degree or equivalent in Radiology technology
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Valid professional registration/licensure
- Proficiency in operating digital and 3D mammography equipment
- Ability to deliver high-quality mammography and bone density scans
- Experience supporting a radiologist during image-guided biopsy procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality mammography and bone density scans, ensuring patient safety.
- Assess patients, obtain clinical histories, and support radiologists in determining imaging needs.
- Accurately record patient information and imaging data, maintain confidentiality and data protection standards.
- Prepare equipment and assist radiologist during image-guided biopsy procedures.
- Provide reassurance and compassionate care to patients throughout their visit.
- Contribute to quality control programs and report any equipment issues promptly.
- Follow all health, safety and radiation protection standards to safeguard patients, colleagues and self.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver coordinated, safe, patient-centred care.
- Support the smooth operation of the Diagnostic Imaging Department as required.
- Attend various meetings as required.
